In 2011 we partnered with the Kenya Voluntary Development Association to work on the community resource center. KVDA is a non-profit and non-governmental association that provides voluntary services to marginalized communities in rural areas of Kenya. KVDA volunteers from several countries worked alongside community members to make hundreds of bricks and perform other tasks that lay the groundwork for construction of a community center in Vigetse Village.  Subsequently, the three top MACODEF officials traveled to Nairobi to share their perspectives and to participate in KVDA’s annual conference.
